April 22
1864 - U.S. Congress made it official that all U.S. mint bear the phrase, "In God We Trust".

1922 - Jazz musician, Charles Mingus, was born. Some of his well known compositions are: "Haitian Fight Song", "Fables of Faubus" and "Better Get It In Yo' Soul".

1970 - Millions of Americans celebrated the first Earth Day.
